Mario Milouchev – The European Commission has appointed Mario Milouchev Director of Directorate D “CAP Strategic Plans II” in DG Agriculture and Rural Development. As director of DG AGRI for more than 13 years, he has worked in the fields of interinstitutional relations, communication, rural development, and pre-accession assistance. Before joining the Commission in May 2009, he worked for almost 20 years as a European Affairs diplomat: he was, among others, a member of the team negotiating the accession of Bulgaria to the EU, European director in the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and COREPER I Ambassador (Deputy Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the EU). He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and graduated from the ENA program.
